Donald Healey was definitely shortchanged by his government. When his achievements were overlooked for recognition and he was only given the Commander of the Order of the British Empire, it was like a slap in the face, considering that knighthood was being bestowed on entertainers whose achievements paled in comparison to those of Mr. Healey. I guess that fresh money talks louder than the old money generated by saving the British motor industry right after World War 2.
