Borgward, the Chinese-Chinese car brand, unveiled two new models last week - the BX6 ‘GT SUV’ and the BXi7 SUV.
First BX6, a small SUV-coupe designed like the BMW X4 from BMW. Built for young customers, the BX6 is said to be sportier with thinner headlights and a honeycomb-shaped front grille.
Under the bonnet, the BX6 comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 211 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, comes with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 4-wheel drive system. Cake full time.
BX6 is not only sold in China - it plans to launch in India, North America later this year and ASEAN market in early 2019.
BXi7 is like the BMW-style name, an electric car version of Borgward BX7. This SUV is powered by two pure, independent electric motors with a combined performance of 239 hp and 390 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 - 100 km / h in 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 195 km / h.
Borgward did not disclose the specifications of the lithium-ion battery, but the brand says that with a full charge, the vehicle can travel up to 375km. Using a fast charger takes only 45 minutes to charge a full battery.
With all-new Borgward EV technology, BXi7’s new intelligent heat management system allows the battery to operate optimally even when the outside temperature is -30C or 55C.
Borgward, founded in 1919 before bankruptcy in 1961, was restored in 2015, the brand is owned by Chinese automobile manufacturer Beiqi Foton Motor, a subsidiary of BAIC Group.
