Car Conditions: What The Numbers Mean

#1

The 1–6 Condition Code is used in the collector car hobby to determine the values of vintage vehicles, but what do the different condition numbers mean? Does a lower number mean a lower value? Understanding the grading system is important when it comes to valuing your car.

I think that a new category needs to be created for restomods. In many cases a restomoded car can be worth more than a #1 car particularly if the car in question is a non specialty or performance model. For instance, a 69 Camaro that originally had a 6 cyl and an automatic would be worth more as a restomod than as a 100 point restoration.
