Wow, I love the old Buicks. When i was a teen, Neil had a 66 GS wiith the 401 & 1 2 speed auto and it would really move. It handled nicely too. only had drums all around, but we were all under 20 y/o & lucky to havve any wheels.

With the prices of GTOs and SS Chevelle now, these machines look better every day. Also do some homework on Oldsmobile V8 engines. They need no FI to pass emissions. The 307 Olds had a 4 barrel barb & 305 chevy FI of all type cause it needed it. Ods V8s run like 300,000+ w/o rebuilds etc. Even the dreaded 403 hits way more power than i need on the street. Olds 455 also has over 500ft/lb torgue!

I may get a 77-81 Fire Bird TA. If if needed a new engine I was considering a 1966 Olds 425 or 1970 455.
With Amsoil I would have 13 second car with a motor life of 500,000 miles or more w/o any major maintenance.

Recently there was 2 1967 442s for 10500$ in pretty decent shape. If they were GTOs it would hve been 3x as much! Any way have a great night & thanks for the car bios!!
