Hey car folks, please consider donating unused N95 masks to your local hospital

The medical personal working on the front lines of the COVID-19 health crisis face a shortage of the protective gear that helps them stay safe. Specifically, the so-called N95 masks that cover the nose and mouth are in short supply.

Fantastic idea. Thank you Hagerty and thank you for your articles to help us pass the time while we get through this crisis.

The intent here of sharing is excellent.
HOWEVER, hospital items must be in sealed and sterile condition.
I have a small supply of the dust respirators that have been sitting in my enclosed cabinet for a couple years, while I have no fear of me using them for their intended purpose, I would not be comfortable with a medical technician using them to perform their tasks treating patients.
