Meet the man who only collects the 1966 Buick Skylark GS

Jimmy Shiels was 18 years old and a few weeks out of high school in 1984 when he went to his first car auction in search of a 1969 Camaro Z28. At least that was the plan. Then he spotted a ’66 Buick Skylark convertible rolling by.

Wonderful story. But hmmm, I see one intruder, a blue '68/'69 under that “Buick 66” sign in the third photo. That caught my eye because I’ve owned two '68 Specials (one bought from the original owner in 1990 w/ 50k miles on it) and now the two-year-only '68/'69 styling of Skylark/Special/GS is my favorite. I wonder if Jimmy would part with that blue intruder?
