Mustang Road Trip - The Road Home | Hagerty Videos

In honor of the Mustang's 50th anniversary in 2014, we thought it would be fitting to purchase a 1964½ for our next employee restoration project. And what better way to debug our new baby than to drive it 2,776 miles from its current home in San Francisco, Calif., to its new home at Hagerty headquarters in Traverse City, Mich.? In part one, we met our new car and hit the road for Tahoe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxZ9f1CYG6c). Check out part two, and see whether we made it all the way to Michigan.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/Articles/2014/04/02/Mustang-Road-Trip--The-Road-Home

What happened to this car? I would love to find out and see it restored! Did the Hagerty employees ever get to turn a wrench on it? After a trip like that it deserves to be brought back to life!

Hi @comments, yes after making it home to MI the Mustang was used for an employee restoration. It now is used in The Hagerty Driving Experience, a series of events in which we teach people how to drive manual transmissions. https://www.hagerty.com/corporate/hobby-support/youth-programs/hagerty-driving-experience
