Question of the Week: What is your favorite car event?

#21

MHRA back to the 50’s. Minnesota Hot Rod Association back to the 50’s every June about 12,000 cars 1964 and earlier.

#22

Carmel By The Sea Concours On The Avenue is my favorite. It is Tuesday of Monterey car week, free to spectators and has many rare and interesting cars.that are deemed not exotic enough for the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance.

The annual All Triumph Drive Ins in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia are also great events.

#23

Frog Follies in Evansville, IN. Largest street rod show and swap meet in the US, and possibly world. You have to see it to believe it! August 24-26

#24

Our favorite event is the British Invasion held in Stowe, Vermont (September). Lots of vehicles, lots of events.

#25

The Old Car Festival in Dearborn, Michigan. Started in 1951, the first weekend after Labor Day where cars are driven around in one of America’s greatest history attractions.

The Street Machine Summer Nationals at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds evey July with honorable mention to the Back to the 50’s also at the Fair Grounds in June. There are so many hard care motor heads in Minnesota!

#32

Cruisin’ The Coast. The first week of October driving all along the small towns located directly on white sand beaches about a 60+ mile road in the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Hosted by local Rotary Clubs in each town, it’s been recently listed as the #1 Car Cruise event in America. It regularly has 8,000+ registered cars and thousands more that just show up from all over the U.S. and several internationally.
It’s a happening like no other.

Frog Follies - Aug 24-25-26- Evansville Indiana!!!

Largest Street Rod pre-'49 meet in the country.

#34

Fuelfed Coffee & Classics - for the classic European car enthusiast it’s the best monthly get together in the country. The original location in Winnetka draws a huge turn out each month, and expanded events in other Chicago suburbs, Greater Milwaukee, and event For Lauderdale, Florida are bringing the classic European car community together.

#35

Keels & Wheels Concours D’Elegance

#36

For muscle cars (and quite a few other types of pre-90s collector and nostalgia cars) Cruisin’ the Coast is hard to beat. It’s a week long event scattered over cities and towns along the Mississippi Gulf Coast that range from quaint to vibrant, attended by over 8000 registered vehicles and many more that just cruise in for the fun.

#37

Any of NSRA Nationals.

#38

I haven’t been to one of my favorite shows in a few years now, but the annual custom, classic & antique car show in St. Ignace Mich. has always been a well attended & fun event, held around mid June, in the little Michigan U P town, just off the North end of the Mackinac Bridge. It could probably best be described as; the Upper Peninsula’s answer to the Woodward Dream Cruise, except for the fact that it’s held about 2 months before the W D C each year. So, why not attend both? :eyes:

#39

Euro Auto Festival, third week in Oct. every year in Greenville SC
