Spooky Question of the Week: What’s the best car from a scary movie?

It’s Friday the 13th, and Halloween is just around the corner. With that in mind, we’re bringing back the Question of the Week with an October theme. So, what’s the best scary movie car?

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2017/10/13/scary-movie-cars

The Car (1977) Best scary car movie ever!

The X Files episode, HOME. The creepy beater late 50s Cadillac.

The tanker truck in the movie, Duel.

I’m going with The Car also!

It might not be considered scary but I’m going to go with the Ecto 1 (1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor) from Ghostbusters.

Oldsmobile 88 fron the Evil Dead movies!

What… Nobody likes “Christine”?

@ferrero.2007 Yes, but it’s an easy answer. Please, make the case for Christine!

She couldn’t be all bad- she was a beautiful '58 Fury that WAS the scary movie. Not just a prop in a plot.

I agree @ferrero.2007 stay tuned to Hagerty.com for more on Christine soon.

The semi-truck with the goblin face on the front from Maximum Overdrive.

Christine is one scary movie when you were a kid

The deathmobile from Animal House.

The Car scared me as a kid. Looking back I think it was less about the movie and more that auto manufacturers had just given up in the 70’s. Shoot him already!
