The Original Photobomber - Bernard Cahier, Photographer


In 1952, a Frenchman named Bernard Cahier began snapping pictures of European road racing and sending reports of the events to American magazines. Cahier’s pictures were the early graphics of that era and his words an early record.

Bernard was a great guy and loved racing and loved the people. Loved the Targa and the Mille. Very generous and kind. He knew the people and knew what was happening and what to photograph. A great era and a great man. Lucky to have known him.
