The pricey, convenient appeal of converting a classic to electric power


Putting an electric drivetrain into a car not designed for that purpose takes skill, money, and the right kind of classic car fanatic. But there just might be more of those kinds of people out there then they themselves realize.

I love the idea of converting my classic cars to electric for the reasons stated in the article-Green efficiency, less headaches with constant mechanical issues, dirty fuels, etc. That said I recognize many folks love old cars because they can actually work on the engines themselves unlike most modern cars. That part I would miss I lot less.
I hope the price of converting old classics to electric will continue to drop and make it reasonable enough to consider.
