Thanks for the explanations, but I’d like to correct a typo:

Single Pole Double Pole (SPDT)
the T in the above acronym is not for ‘Pole’, but it is for "Throw’ - a double throw contact is also commonly referred to as a Form C contact one having both NO (normally open) and NC (normally …).
Form A is NO and B is NC.
